PURPOSE OF WORK: The Controller’s overall responsibility includes mitigating financial risks, ensuring accuracy of accounting financial process, and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). This position is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day accounting activities including functional responsibility over accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, contracts and grants administration and payroll. The Controller will work with the COO in overseeing all facets of financial operations, defining, evaluating, implementing, and enforcing accounting policies, systems, and controls, maintaining financial records, overseeing the financial infrastructure, and preparing internal and external financial reports. This position will serve as a strategic advisor to the Board along with COO.

POSITION TITLE: Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program Director 
LOCATION: Riverside, CA
HOURS: 40 hours per week

The Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program was established in 1972 under the authorization of the Older-Americans Act. Its purpose is to investigate complaints and advocate for residents in long-term care facilities and in residential care facilities for the elderly. There are approximately 520 of these facilities in Riverside County. Both paid employees and community volunteers are trained, certified Ombudsmen.

DESCRIPTION: The Program Director provides leadership and direction for the Riverside County Long-Term Care Ombudsman program. The Program Director implements policies and procedures as set forth by the Office of the State Long-Term Care Ombudsman and manages the day-to-day activities of the program to ensure its smooth operation and continued success.

POSITION TITLE: ReConnect Support Group Leader (Hispanic Community)

ACCOUNTABILITY:  Support Group/Quality Control Supervisor and Department Director

The ReConnect Program is designed to identify and reduce physical, mental, and environmental health challenges experienced by older adults aged 60 and older in Orange County. The program offers short term early interventions including case management services, comprehensive psychosocial assessments, mental health screening, short term therapy, and linkages to needed community resources. In addition, the program offers educational, social, and therapeutic support groups throughout the county for participants to reinforce healthy life patterns and increase their quality of life.

Position Objective: To ensure the development and delivery of social and skill-building support groups tailored to the program participants. Support the program’s outreach and marketing efforts within the local Hispanic community.

The goal of this program is to provide objective counseling, advocacy, and assistance with Medicare, related health insurance plans, and long-term care planning, and to educate the public on Medicare and related health insurance topics and long-term care services and supports.

PURPOSE OF WORK: Provide Medicare-related assistance and counseling to individuals across Orange County. Assist with special projects to improve the overall program and enhance counseling activities.
